A Crossdresser’s Story: My First Bra Fitting

03/10/2022

There are obstacles that every crossdresser faces when acquiring anything remotely feminine.

Some of those come from the society we live in, but often, it has more to do with ourselves than we are willing to admit.

Even though the fear of shaming may be a real possibility, we must overcome it to enjoy our life and freedom.

As a result of our fears, we choose to acquire our feminine garments and accessories online, and when the delivery comes, we find out that we have spent money on something that doesn’t fit us or looks nothing like advertised.

Tired of this happening with all the lingerie I ordered online, I thought there was one way to solve it once and for all.

Today, I will be telling you the story of when I lost the fear of shaming and asked a saleswoman for a bra fitting.

The Push I Didn’t Know I Needed

To start this little story, let me add some context to it.

I flew over the limits of my home country and landed, among other places, in San Francisco, in the golden state of California.

Life found me at a very particular time, with the possibility to combine working and the pleasures of traveling for a little more than a year.

Having been a crossdresser for as long as I can remember, visiting this particular city meant a lot for me, as it represents the fight for freedom for all the community.

I’m sure that the fact that I was in town had something to do with pushing me to do what I did.

I felt truly comfortable surrounded by those who cared little about what other people were and treated everyone as human beings.

Maybe that and the fact that I was so far from home to compromise my everyday life led me towards the entrance of one of my favorite shops ever.

I crossed the door of a Victoria’s Secret store, determined to ask for help to discover my bra size.

Meeting My Bra Fairy

More anxious and determined than I ever was, I shyly approached one of the sales ladies who was around and asked if she could help me.

As I could, being a nervous wreck and all, I told her that I was wondering what my bra size was and where to look for them.

She quickly realized that I was putting a lot of effort into just asking that kind of question and helped me as discreetly as possible.

She told me her name was Amy and asked me what mine was.

We started chatting very friendlyly, and I asked some questions like why I was wondering what my bra size was.

She showed an honest interest in my crossdressing as she led me to the back of the store, where the warehouse was, for more privacy.

We kept chatting as she took my body measures and recommended some styles that could look good on me.

I told her some of my favorite styles and fabrics, and she looked for some matching sets for me to decide on.

They were all so cute! I felt like I was in heaven with this woman helping me choose lingerie in my size!

She helped me feel very comfortable all the time.

Even at the time of the cashing out, she asked me if I preferred to wait where I was while she ran the items through the cashier.

I told her that it was fine and that she had already done a lot.

I walked with her to the cashier’s area, paid for everything, and thanked her once again for all the help and kindness.

I walked out of a Victoria’s Secret store with some brand-new matching bras and panty sets.

All the fears and insecurities I had before seemed so ridiculously laughable.

Many times, we have the idea that our fears are bigger than our capacity to overcome them and lose focus.

But if we keep in mind that every day is an opportunity to break one more barrier to achieve that fulfilling feeling, we get whenever we get over ourselves.

The one that when we feel it, we know it has been a good day.

Forever, I will be thankful for my bra fairy, Amy, who taught me how to measure myself and made me feel comfortable and secure while shopping.

Wherever you are, thank you.

Putting ourselves over the line and pushing it further from where it previously did a great deal in developing personal-self-assurance.

It exposes us to many situations that even though not everything in life is made out of roses, it can also allow you to experience life in the most amazing ways.

Many good people are going around just hiding beneath a sack of fears and insecurities.

Breaking the barriers that come from them and connecting with others will help us lead the change for a better world.
