How to be a FEARLESS Femme

08/08/2022

As MTF crossdressers, we often have to deal with fear. Whether it’s the fear of being discovered, the fear of not being accepted, or the fear of mockery and ridicule, it can all hold us back from truly expressing ourselves. But what if we could learn to be fearless?

1-How to be a FEARLESS Femme

Learning to be fearless as a closet queen starts with baby steps. If you’re afraid of going out in public, start by wearing feminine clothes around the house. If you’re afraid of being discovered, consider coming out to a close friend or family member. And if you’re afraid of mockery and ridicule, remember that there are plenty of people who will accept you for who you are – no matter what you look like on the outside.

In this article, I’ll share some tips on how I overcame fear as an Crossdresser drag queen.

1. Accept your fear

2-How to be a FEARLESS Femme

The first step to countering your fear is accepting it. I know that sounds counterintuitive. But if you can’t accept that you’re afraid, you’ll never be able to move past it.

So take a deep breath and remind yourself that it’s okay to be afraid. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you, and it doesn’t mean you’re not transgender.

Once you’ve accepted your fear, the next step is to start exploring why you’re afraid in the first place. What is it about crossdressing that scares you? Is it the thought of being seen in public? Is it the fear of not being accepted by family or friends? Or is it something else entirely?

Take some time to really think about your fear, and what it is that’s causing it. Once you’ve pinpointed the source of your fear, you can start to work on addressing it.

If your fear is rooted in the worry of being seen in public, for example, start by wearing your clothes around the house when no one else is home. Get comfortable with how you look and feel in them. Then, when you’re ready, start venturing out into public places where you’re less likely to be recognized. Slowly but surely, you’ll build up your confidence and comfort level until you’re able to go out in public as your true self without fear.

If your fear is based on the worry of not being accepted, start by talking to someone who you know will be supportive. This could be a friend, family member, therapist, or even another transgender person. Hearing someone else’s story and knowing that you’re not alone can be incredibly helpful in overcoming your fear.

Remember, there is no one-size-fits-all solution to overcoming fear. What works for one person may not work for another. The important thing is to keep moving forward and making progress, however small it may be. Before you know it, your fear will start to fade away, and you’ll be living your life as your true self.

2. Replace your fear thoughts

After accepting your fear, as a crossdressing sister, you need to also replace your fear. You need to identify your main fear thoughts and then consciously create new, more positive thoughts to replace them. Let’s take a look at an example:

Main fear thought: I’m afraid people will laugh at me if they see me crossdressing.

New, more positive thought: Even if people do laugh at me, I know that I am doing something that makes me happy, and that is what is important.

By replacing your fear thoughts with more positive ones, you will start to feel better about yourself and your crossdressing journey. Remember, everyone has fears, but it is how you deal with them that counts!

Does this trick work for everyone? No, of course not. The tip will only work if you WANT it to work. If you don’t want to change your thinking, then this tip won’t help you much. Just like anything else worth doing in life, changing your thinking requires effort and commitment. But if you are willing to put in the work, I promise you that it will be worth it!

  1. Acknowledge your fear

The first step is to acknowledge that you’re feeling afraid. It’s normal to feel scared when you’re doing something outside of your comfort zone. Just remember that everyone feels fear at times – even the most confident people in the world.

  1. Breathe

When you start to feel anxious, take some deep breaths and focus on your breathing. This will help you to relax and calm your mind.

  1. Visualize success

Visualize yourself successfully crossdressing in public. See yourself feeling confident and enjoying yourself. This will help to boost your confidence and reduce your anxiety.

  1. Take baby steps

If the thought of going out in public is too daunting, start with small steps. Maybe start by dressing up at home or in a safe space first. Then, when you feel ready, take it a step further and go out in public for a short while. Slowly but surely, you’ll build up your confidence and be able to stay out for longer periods of time.

  1. Be prepared

This means having everything you need with you (e.g. makeup, clothes, etc.) and knowing where you’re going and what you’re doing. Having a plan will help to reduce your anxiety and give you a sense of control.

  1. Seek support

Speak to someone who understands what you’re going through – whether that’s a friend, family member, therapist, or fellow crossdresser. Talking about your fears can help to lessen their power over you.

  1. Remember why you’re doing this

It’s important to remember why you’re crossdressing in the first place. Whether it’s for fun, self-expression, or simply because it makes you feel good, keep this in mind, and it will help you to push through your fears.

Crossdressing is a wonderful way to express yourself, so don’t let fear hold you back! Be brave, be confident, and most importantly, be yourself.

In conclusion, as MTF crossdressers, we can become fearless femmes by accepting and owning our femininity, embracing our authentic selves, and letting go of the need to be perfect. We can also build a support network of like-minded individuals, express ourselves creatively, and find joy in simply being who we are. So let’s celebrate our femininity, embrace our fabulousness, and live our lives fearlessly!
