A Crossdressing Guide to Perfumes and Fragrances

In our never-ending crossdressing journeys, we try to feminize as many aspects of our image as possible.

And our scent is one of these aspects.

Even though men’s and women’s natural scents are mostly the same, that’s because certain fragrances are marketed to gender-specific markets.

It has more to do with society’s expectations than actual gender differences.

In short, you must find a perfume that works for you rather than a hyper-feminine one.

Among what is marketed towards women, there’s a wide range of different fragrances.

As long as it makes you happy and comfortable, you’re good to go.

Still, some of these tips might also be useful.

If you follow them, you might be able to choose a feminine fragrance that suits all of your other needs.

Brands and quality also matter, but your main goal is to keep it believable.

1. A matter of taste

There’s hardly such a thing as a “best fragrance” for all that matters.

What smells good for you depends on several different factors, as it’s quite a personal feeling.

Some people are more sensitive to certain perfumes than others.

As such, you may have perfume preferences the same way you prefer certain foods over others.

As this matter of taste is relative, there’s no point in choosing a fragrance you don’t like just because it’s feminine.

There are almost endless options to choose from, one of which may please your nose.

With that in mind, make sure you experiment with as many different perfumes from the feminine section as possible.

At least until you find one that you like

2. A word about comfort

However, if you want to crossdress comfortably, there are a few things to keep in mind.

For example, try not to use a fragrance that is too strong.

You may end up with a headache or migraines and be forced to stop your crossdressing session.

Some people are also allergic to certain chemicals contained in a few perfumes, so it would be wise to check it up.

Before you buy it, make a few tests to see how you feel about it.

You must make sure the fragrance of your choice is a viable option.

If you can stand it, that’s ok, but if it makes you uncomfortable with time, that’s not the right choice for you.

Choosing the right one allows you to crossdress for a longer time without interruptions.

3. Use the right amount of product

Overusing your perfume may also be an issue. It’s easy to forget about limits and apply more fragrances than you should.

And the results are less than pleasant. You see, too much perfume will make the air saturated, creating a sickening atmosphere.

It loses its natural fragrance in the process, corrupting the original effect.

Instead of the desired feminizing scent, you’ll end up smelling like something that was soaked in a barrel of chemicals.

Besides all of that, you’ll also be wasting products.

Unintentional overuse might make you run out of perfume twice as fast, resulting in more expenses.

But if you use it correctly, it’s possible to keep the same bottle for over a year.

A good rule of thumb to avoid perfume overload is to use no more than two sprays of a fragrance.

4. Keeping it feminine

Now you know how to choose and apply the right amount of perfume to feminize yourself.

But which ones are more often associated with the idea of femininity?

Well, as I told you before, there are way too many options.

But I chose a few that are more suitable for crossdressing purposes.

Floral scents

Floral scents are those that imitate the scents of actual flowers.

Rose and lavender are the best sellers in this category, although flower mixtures are popular as well.

Most of them are marketed exclusively towards women, but some gender-neutral options are available.

Such feminine fragrances will help crossdressers to express their most romantic sides.

In this category, the Dior J’adore and Kenzo Flower are my highlights.

Fruity and green perfumes

These are fresh scents that evoke youth and energy.

Fruity ones may contain citrus-like fragrances, such as lemon, orange, and even strawberry.

Green perfumes, on the other hand, remind us of grass, fresh leaves, and nature.

All of them are useful for crossdressers and trans women.

That’s because, besides being feminine, these scents may boost your confidence while en femme.

My recommendations are “Emporio White” (by Giorgio Armani) and “Dune” (by Christian Dior).

Woody fragrances

These fragrances are but the opposite of the previous ones.

They are heavy and powerful, evoking some degree of masculinity.

Yet these are still feminine scents. It even proves my point about how varied feminine perfumes are.

These perfumes are a bold, dramatic, and somewhat sensual approach to crossdressing.

Nonetheless effective for all purposes.

The ones I recommend are Estée Lauder’s “Sensuous” and Azarro’s “Visit for Women.”

5. Brands and quality

As you can see, there are many brands to choose from.

It may be hard to pick up a perfume of quality due to the prices.

But these are just suggestions, and I’m sure you can find something more affordable.

But make sure the brand isn’t fake or a knock-off since these tend to have the lowest quality.

They are either too strong or have no scent at all and are much more likely to give you an allergy.

So, if you want to avoid migraines and itches, pay attention to the brand and quality.

Always suspect prices that seem too low, and buy from providers you trust.

Choosing a feminine perfume will improve your passability and crossdressing experience.

But with so many options out there, it isn’t easy to decide which one is the best.

Most of the work is for crossdressers, so it’s a matter of taste.

Pick whichever you like the most, but don’t exaggerate.
