Nail Care Tips to Achieve Feminine Hands

As a crossdresser- you may already know that little details are the key to possibility.

Your posture, mannerisms, vocabulary, and even body language may give you away as a crossdresser.

So, it’s important to double-check everything before going out.

However, some crossdressers happen to overlook a crucial detail, which is their nails.

They play a major role in feminizing our hands, hence their importance.

You must pay attention to the length and colors of your nails and keep an eye out for other minor details.

You don’t want to exaggerate, tho, as drawing too much attention to your hands may expose you as a crossdresser.

If your goal is to pass as a woman, keep the look discreet and believable.

It may be a difficult task, even more for beginners.

But my goal here is to help, and these tips may help you achieve passable feminine nails.

1. Keep your nails in the right length

To paint, polish, and style their nails, women let them grow.

Men, however, are expected to trim them every two weeks or so.

As a result, men and women have very different nails, which differentiates their hands.

Crossdressers want to get rid of such differences so they can pass as women and feel feminine.

And doing so, one might come across a rather common mistake and overgrow their nails.

This is not a big deal, as some women use larger nails than usual.

Others may even consider it as fashionable and a matter of style.

But in the end, overgrown nails may not be the best choice for crossdressers.

I say so because the longer your nails are, the stubbier your hand will look.

In some cases, instead of feminizing them more effectively, long nails might just get you clocked.

So keep in mind that nails about ⅛ or ¼ of an inch past your fingertips may be more flattering for cross-dressing purposes.

Many of us may be able to achieve that naturally in a matter of weeks.

And those who don’t should not worry, as false nails are quite easy to find and use.

2. Balance the colors

Painting and polishing your nails, especially for the first few times, might be a little tricky.

As we are excited to see our nails polished and feminine, it’s common to see our sisters using shiny colors and slashy accessories.

What they don’t take into account, however, is the other many differences between male and female hands.

What I mean is that the hands are rarely the strong point of crossdressers, and drawing too much attention to them may evidence that.

What you want to do is keep your hands feminine yet discreet.

And achieving that may require you to use colors with less appeal.

But don’t feel disappointed, as it’s likely going to help you pass and feel more feminine.

My tip is for you to match your nails with your outfit, if possible.

But for a more general approach, you may use nude colors or pastel tones such as soft pink and ivory.

3. Take care of your hand as a whole

I’m afraid that polishing your nails alone may not be enough to feminize your hand.

Don’t get me wrong, it helps a lot.

But if you are committed to passing as a woman, make sure you try out a few more steps.

Start, for example, by shaving your hand, including your knuckles, as painted nails may draw unwanted attention to them.

That, combined with a good moisturizing cream, will help your hand look softer, smoother, and overall more feminine.

Another good tip is to remove your cuticles, creating a cleaner surface for your nails to shine.

Although not every crossdresser may be able to do so, I recommend you visit a professional manicure from time to time.

4. Use some jewelry

Accessorizing may also help your nails to stand out and feminize your hands.

Still, there are a few things to keep in mind before going down this path.

First, avoid smaller jewels such as delicate rings.

If they are too small, chances are that they will make your hands look bigger and chunkier in comparison.

And needless to say, big stubby hands are seen as a masculine feature, and may ruin an otherwise perfect feminine figure.

Besides that, over-accessorizing may have a similar downside as the one described for shiny nail polish tones.

In conclusion, you want moderate sizes and amounts of jewelry.

5. Choose the right materials

The materials you choose have a great and direct effect on the quality of your nails.

Before you start polishing them, make sure you choose the best stuff available for better results and a more feminine hand.

Instead of hand lotions, use moisturizing creams for a smoother effect.

Ditch emery and ceramic nail files, and start using the glass ones for a smoother finish.

Wooden sticks are useful for cleaning around your nails, but they are also fragile.

Buy metal sticks instead, as they are durable and more efficient.

And last but not least, a good nail brush will keep filth away from underneath your nails.

Your nails are a minor detail of your overall feminine image.

But they are still important to help you pass as a woman if you want to.

But the same as everything else in terms of cross-dressing, it’s easy for us to exaggerate and lose control of the situation.

Moderation is a key to success and passability here, as some crossdressers may find these tips useful.
