07/13/2022

Summer is coming, and dressing up as a girl during this season is lots of fun.

To have a good experience, we must experiment with some new things and get creative.

But it’s also important to avoid some fatal mistakes that can ruin everything.

As many of our sisters end up not paying attention to that, they lose the opportunity to be a woman during summer.

What to Do and What to Avoid as a Crossdresser in Summer

This article will point out what you should try and what you must avoid this season, from makeup and outfitting techniques to self-care tips.

So, if you want to enjoy summer and all the benefits it brings for crossdressers, read through this article.

This way, you might be able to get the most out of it.

1. Avoid: Water-based makeup

Water-based makeup is a versatile tool for crossdressers, cheap, and easy to remove.

But during summer, it can cause you more harm than good.

First, it’s important to remember that summer is the time for pool and beach parties.

If you want to go there en femme, water-based makeup products would be washed away.

The same is true for occasional summer rains, even though they don’t happen so often.

But your main enemy here is the hot weather since it makes you sweat.

Sweating will ruin your makeup if it’s water-based.

As makeup is essential to make us look feminine, keep that in mind so that you can preserve its effects.

2. Do: Hide your Adam’s apple

Summer makes it difficult for us to wear too many clothes.

And it’s impossible to use stuff such as scarves or turtle neck shirts in that weather.

And in the end, it discourages us from hiding the Adam’s apple.

But even though it sounds difficult, it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

What to Do and What to Avoid as a Crossdresser in Summer

Our Adam’s apple can easily give us away as crossdressers.

It’s a prominent masculine feature that makes it difficult for us to pass as women.

So, if you want the best possible summer experience as a girl, be creative and conceal it.

Try simple makeup tricks to darken the area, making it appear smaller.

Or else, use a choker on top of it. Another more elaborate method is to use silicone breastplates or bodysuits to cover your neck.

But I’ll elaborate better about these a few topics later.

3. Avoid: Visible shapewear

Shapewear is essential for most crossdressers. There are a few of us with natural curves, but they are a minority.

The rest, such as me and probably you, rely on corsets and other garments to achieve an hourglass silhouette.

We can get away with it by hiding all the shapewear under our clothes.

But part of what makes summer fun for crossdressing is the possibility of wearing something more revealing.

But making your shapewear visible is not an option, as it doesn’t look good at all.

Instead, try sports outfits that cover your abdomen and hips.

As for swimming, try full-body swimsuits instead of bikinis.

But if you’re used to hot climates, you can wear a silicone female skinsuit.

It allows you to cover everything up seamlessly.

Any of these methods are valid as long as you keep your shapewear well hidden.

It was never meant to be visible in the first place.

4. Do: Try an elaborate cleavage

Summertime calls for a good cleavage. As crossdressers, it’s our time to let our creative thinking shine.

I say that because we can go with many different techniques to achieve it.

But some of them are better than others for this season.

What to Do and What to Avoid as a Crossdresser in Summer

What you want is a visible cleavage, one that looks realistic and gives the impression that you have real breasts.

With that in mind, avoid the classic stuffed bras methods.

It’s better suited for cold climates when most of your body is covered.

Instead of that, you may use a combination of push-up bras and a little makeup to add depth.

It may not feel or move like real feminine boobs, but it’s visually very convincing.

But if you want the most effective method, go for silicone breast forms.

Adhesive forms are great for everyday use and may suit your needs.

But for summer, with more action and swimming, vest breastplates are better.

They won’t fall off and are more resistant to water.

5. Avoid: Exposing yourself more than you should

It’s common to associate summer with over-exposure to our bodies.

We want to look sexy and provoking, as most women do.

It is a tempting proposal for crossdressers in general, but there are limits.

Wearing outfits that are too revealing may cause you to look less feminine.

It’s the opposite of what you want to happen. It can reduce the effects of your shapewear, for example.

Exposing your shoulders may prevent you from achieving an hourglass figure.

What you want to do is to expose key areas to highlight your feminine features.

A good choice may be to expose no more than your cleavage, forearms, and legs.

These will work in your favor, while the rest may work against you.

6. Do: Drink more water while en-femme

This is a good tip for everyone during summer: never stop drinking water!

But it is extra helpful for crossdressers. You’ll constantly be losing body water due to the heat, and you must stay hydrated.

Otherwise, it becomes more difficult to endure the challenges that come with crossdressing.

Besides that, drinking cold water helps you prevent a sore throat from feminizing your voice.

The only downside is that you’ll have to pee more frequently, as you’ll be consuming more liquid.

With that in mind, be careful with your “tucking,” and make sure you can easily go to the bathroom.

Another important tip about that is to always ask about bathroom policies if you’re not at home.

This way, you’ll know whether you should use the feminine or masculine bathroom.

7. Avoid: Exaggerate makeup

Feminizing our faces with makeup sure is complicated. But it doesn’t mean that more means better.

In summer, you want to keep things simple, to look natural and relaxed.

It would be best if you aimed for something more casual rather than formal, so put complex makeup aside.

Instead, try to do the bare minimum to feminize your facial features.

For example, mascara and contouring are okay, but you should avoid eyeliner and bright lipstick.

As for foundation coverage, aim for the most important and nothing more.

Cover up only your five o’clock shadow and some major imperfections.

No one really cares for a smooth finish this time of the year.

You may still use eyeshadow and lipstick if they don’t look too flashy.

Instead of bright tones that draw attention, aim for nudes or dark browns.

Oh, and don’t forget to use a little blush powder as well.

It helps you look more vivid, healthy, young, and feminine.

8. Do: Use light clothing

By light, I don’t mean in color. It’s okay to use darker tones in summer, even though vivid colors are more popular.

I did it myself, and never did I regret it. Instead, I’m referring to light as lightweight.

Even though complex outfits help crossdressers in many ways, they tend to be heavier and more demanding.

They also pack a lot of heat, making them impractical for summertime.

They make you look feminine and are effective in doing so.

But what is its use if you’re not able to endure its effects for longer than a couple of hours?

What to Do and What to Avoid as a Crossdresser in Summer

Being comfortable is the key to cross-dressing in the year’s hottest season, and it’s quite a challenge.

So, be prepared to opt for lighter outfits with good airflow and mobility.

This way, you can be yourself with more freedom and enjoy summer as a woman with ease.

9. Avoid high heels and stilettos

Another thing that comes to mind in summer is walking.

People go on hiking or take a stroll at the beach under the sun.

The point is that there’s usually rough terrain or even sand involved.

And pool parties may require you to be barefoot.

These situations make stilettos band high heels less than practical for cross-dressing.

They are feminine and help us feel more like women.

But they aren’t the only available type of feminine footwear.

Instead, try flats, flip-flops, and sandals. They are versatile and a símbolo of summer nostalgia.

We can jump to some coffee conclusions with all of that in mind.

Summertime is an excellent opportunity for us to build confidence and take our journeys further.

But there are some challenges we must overcome in the process.

In the end, it’s a matter of balance between comfort, femininity, and possibility.

But as long as you feel happy with your image, you’re doing things right.

Your well-being is as important as your passability, so you should never neglect it.

  1. I was what’s called a closet crossdresser for many years. I dressed en femme in motel rooms, but never went outside
One day I got dressed in full makeup and a stylish wig
For once my makeup went on like it should. I actually looked like I was a young lady. As I continued getting dressed, everything I did was perfect. My outfit was perfect, my wig was stylish and perfect, my makeup was perfect and that’s when I decided to venture outside of the motel room for the first time and let people see me as a lady.
I was as nervous as can be, but I overcame the fear of being outed and opened the door and stepped outside.
All my fears of being outed were for nothing. Nobody was paying attention to me, other than smiling at me or saying hello.
To everyone, I was just a girl out there like they were
I felt so free and comfortable being among people
I went for a drive and stopped by a gas station, where I put gas in my car and again no one was paying attention to me. I was just a girl putting gas in her car
