The hesitation might be based on the preconceived notion that we don’t think we’d make good crossdressers, given how much of a commitment it is. Some may be conscious of their age, that’s why they might have doubts about leaping. It’s an adventure, however! Even if you start later in life, it’s no problem at all!

I’m in my mid-40s; can I still crossdress? Absolutely, yes! Crossdressing is for everyone.

Even for those who say they are too old for it. One has never had to have a specific reason to start crossdressing.

No one is limited to dressing up when of a certain age or a specific gender.

However, we know how crossdressing is not an easy task.

When doing it, one should have a strong and open mind.

It’s something that requires dedication and an individual who can deal with the prejudices thrown at them by others who don’t understand what we do.

People surrounding you might have a longer time adjusting to crossdressing, so it’s best to educate them, too.

You know your boundaries, so if dressing up excites you, then go ahead and try it out the next time you feel comfortable enough to do so!

There is never a wrong time or place to crossdress, either.

It’s important that you willingly decide if you are ready for it – just keep in mind that being ready doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with your body.

Age Is No Barrier: It’s Never Too Late to Crossdress

  1. Very limited dressing up for most of my life. After 2 weeks in quarantine in a hotel room and having a couple outfits only, felt an urge to be seen by strangers. Up until then i would dress up and sometimes sleep in my dress up clothes and had several dreams while dressed up as being dressed up. Hope that made sense… So not until age 62 did I ever go out dressed. Nervous at first and then got bolder and bolder. So exhilarating the first several times and the looks or lack of them told me when i was fitting in or not. The compliments and conversations that came about and new made friends with similar interests. And sharing tips on tucking or padded items etc. It was a whole new different world. I admittedly do not look 60 either as a man or woman, but possibly 40’s ish. But had 20-40 year olds take me in as if we were best of friends. Unfortunately my lack of knowledge in the current music norms were possibly a tell tale sign of my age. I was invited to a music fest which i went to and enjoyed one evening. Looking back, if i had started earlier i would have been easily passable in my 20’s and 30’s as i only shaved about once or twice a week. I explain jokingly that i did not reach puberty until i was 35. It still takes me about 2 days to get the 5 o’clock shadow. Anyway, I have enjoyed the limited time of crossdressing that i have had even at my tender age….
